01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until evenly blended.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla and mashed bananas.
04 - Add dry ingredients to wet mixture in two additions, mixing gently. Stir in milk until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
05 - Fold chocolate chips into batter. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle extra chips on top if desired.
06 - Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
07 - Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
